What issues did you have before introducing the laser machine?
Our company handles a wide range of processing tasks, including metal, mechanical parts, plastic, and wood. For engraving on metals and mechanical parts, we use a metal laser engraver and a general-purpose engraving machine. For printing on signs and signboards, we use a UV printer.
We had been outsourcing acrylic processing, such as nameplates and name tags, but delivery times and costs often didn’t meet expectations, which made it difficult to secure orders. When outsourcing acrylic processing—especially for varying sizes and designs—lead times would increase, and small-lot orders inevitably incurred high costs.
Therefore, we began considering the introduction of a laser engraver in order to bring acrylic processing in-house and improve both delivery time and cost-efficiency.
Why introduce the GCC LaserPro laser machine?
Among several manufacturers I compared, we ultimately chose Comnet becauseGCC LaserPro stood out in terms of processing accuracy and reliable maintenance service.
Their response to our inquiries was prompt, and the fact that professionals from other industries recommended them also played a key role in our decision.

What results follow laser machine installation?
We’ve been able to significantly reduce both lead times and costs for the work we previously outsourced. Additionally, we're now able to handle the production of nameplates in various shapes, which has been a great help.
Bringing production in-house has also encouraged us to deepen our knowledge of resin materials, which has had a positive impact. We're now able to approach customer needs from different angles, leading to an increase in orders.
One unexpected outcome has been the growing demand for illustration and design-related engraving. We've seen a rise in orders from individual customers who found us through our website.

From nameplates to laser engraving fonts
We use the laser engraver for a wide range of applications—from making nameplates for control panels, panels, and switch guard cases, to in-store displays. We're also now able to produce the engraving fonts (letter templates) for our general-purpose engraving machines in-house, which has been a great help.

What are your prospects for the laser business?
Until now, our primary focus has been on providing processing services for corporate clients. However, looking ahead, we plan to expand into producing acrylic and wood-based products for individual customers as well.
By leveraging our in-house equipment—such as engraving machines, UV printers, and cutting plotters—we aim to respond flexibly to a diverse range of customer needs in the future.
